Product Description

Anti-infectives. Treatment of following bacterial infections. rnUrinary tract and gynaecologic infections including cystitis, gonorrhea and prostatitis. Uses: NORFLOXACIN 400 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is also used in infections of urinary tract, gastrointestinal tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organ, skin & soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia). NORFLOXACIN TABLET SIDE EFFECTS

HOW TO USE NORFLOXACIN TABLET
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Norflin 400 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach. Direction of use:

It is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them. WARNINGS

Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
NORFLOXACIN TABLET may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
NORFLOXACIN TABLET is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
NORFLOXACIN TABLET may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
NORFLOXACIN TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Norflin 400 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of NORFLOXACIN TABLET is not advised in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
There is limited information available on the use of NORFLOXACIN TABLET in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
Expert Advice
Your doctor has prescribed NORFLOXACIN TABLET to cure your infection and improve symptoms.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
Discontinue NORFLOXACIN TABLET and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn’t stop or if you find blood in your stools.
